The Server in the Cupboard

Why have I got a server in a Cupboard?

Well we can't all afford to host our servers in huge hosting centres, can we?

Seriously though, the server is in the cupboard because I live in a very small studio flat and I can't stand the noise of the fan in the PSU!

So tell me about the server?

This is my Mail, Web, Proxy and Samba server. It is also the gateway from my network to the Internet. By viewing this page now, you are connecting to my server!
It is a Pentium III/933 with 256Mb RAM and runs RedHat Linux 7.3.

So what else is on your LAN?

Well the server connects to a 5 port LinkSys Switch. This also connects the wireless part of my network via an SMC Wireless Access Point. You can see a picture of them here.

Then via a fairly long (15m) Cat5 Ethernet cable, it connects and uplinks to my other switch which is an 8 port NetGear Model. You can see that here.
