Emailing Someone Off-List
This tutorial has been created for Outlook Express, since this is the email client used by most of the list-members.
Here we see a list message opened up in Outlook Express.

Highlighted is the senders name, if you double-click on this, the properties window for that sender is displayed.

This is the properties window for the Sender 'Seth Kneller', we can see his name and his email address. If we now double click on that email address, we can copy to the clipboard ready to paste into our 'off-list' reply.
Once we have double clicked on the senders email address, we can click the right mouse button and select copy to copy the address to the clipboard.
Once we have copied the address to the clipboard, we can then click cancel to chose the sender's properties window and return to the message.

Click the reply button in the usual way to compose a reply to this message.

When you click reply, Outlook Express will assume that you want to reply to the list and so it will automatically put the list email address in the To: field.

We don't want that, so double click on the list email address in the To: field to highlight it and then press the delete key.

Once you have removed the list email address, you can paste in the senders email address, which we copied earlier.

With the cursor in the To: field, click the right mouse button and select paste.

Now you see the result, with the reply ready for editing and sending 'off-list'!
